DIVISION I-AA

Royal 81, Arroyo Grande 37--The Highlanders (18-7) advanced to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in the school’s 27-year history. Royal’s only other playoff victory was in a wild-card game six years ago.

Marques Pena scored 22 points and dished out 11 assists for the Highlanders. Nick Flanagan added 20 points.

Highland 90, Santa Ana Valley 72--John Burrell had 33 points and eight rebounds and Nick Howell added five blocked shots as the Bulldogs (17-9) won at home.

Lynwood 98, Antelope Valley 75--Le’Tre Kelly scored 19 points for the Antelopes (18-9) at Antelope Valley.

DIVISION I-A

Hart 52, Rio Mesa 47--Rio Mesa overcame a 10-point deficit to lead, 44-42, during a third quarter in which it outscored the Indians, 13-4, at Valencia High. But Hart took over in the fourth quarter, making eight of nine free throws.

Junior forward Cory Johnson made all six of his free-throw attempts in the quarter. The Indians (20-7) made 15 of 16 from the line in the game.

Johnson finished with 19 points. Amir Parvinchiha added 12 and Bryan Kirk 10 for the Indians. Tyrone Nunnery had 16 for Rio Mesa (13-12).

Damien 68, Crescenta Valley 61--Michael Greco had 19 points, and Jake Willis added 16 points and six assists but the visiting Falcons (18-8) were eliminated. Nathan Sinning was held to nine points and six assists. Damien is 13-14.

DIVISION II-AA

Santa Barbara 92, Burroughs 79--The Dons (18-8) scored 13 consecutive points in the third quarter to build its 30-27 halftime advantage into a comfortable lead at Santa Barbara.

J.K. Scott scored 22 points and Jorge Sotomayor had 19 for the Indians (13-12).

DIVISION II-A

Ventura 67, Paso Robles 45--The Cougars (15-9), the fourth-place team from the Channel League, got 24 points and 12 rebounds from Charles Dixon in upsetting the Los Padres League champions at Paso Robles. Donte Lincoln added 16 points off the bench for Ventura.

Westlake 75, Katella 63--Steve Aylsworth scored 25 points, Jason Gaines added 19 and Jeremiah Nesbitt had 11 points and 15 rebounds for the host Warriors (16-8).

DIVISION III-AA

Sonora 81, Calabasas 52--Jeffrey Berokoff scored 15 points to lead host Sonora (21-6) in a second-round game. Jeremy Marque scored 16 points for Calabasas (15-12). Ryan Coleman added six assists.

Moorpark 85, Dos Pueblos 81--Brian Donahue scored eight of his 20 points in the second overtime as the Musketeers (18-10) held off Dos Pueblos (11-14) in the second-round game.

Kevin Lawrence had 21 points and 15 rebounds, and Patrick Tate added 21 points for Moorpark.

DIVISION III-A

Harvard-Westlake 73, Covina 52--Twins Jason and Jarron Collins combined for 39 points and 16 rebounds to pace the top-seeded Wolverines (23-2) at Harvard-Westlake.

Ryan Smiley added 10 points while Leonardo DaCosta had eight assists.

DIVISION IV-AA

Oak Park 61, Laguna Beach 55--Vaughn Corley scored eight of his 19 points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles (17-7) held off Laguna Beach at Oak Park. John Murphy added 12 points for Oak Park.

DIVISION IV-A

Bell-Jeff 71, Sherman Indian 38--Elihu Cobb had 16 points, 10 rebounds and five steals, and Ruben Douglas added 13 points, 10 rebounds and five steals for the Guards (20-5) at Bell-Jeff.

Santa Clara 78, Brethren Christian 49--Brian Doyle scored 19 points and Lukman Dotson added 16 and six assists for the Saints (21-4) in a game at Santa Clara.

Skye Peterson scored seven points and had 10 rebounds as the Saints had a strong second half.

L.A. Baptist 81, Mojave 69--Jermaine Sweet scored 30 points off the bench and Ryan Davis added 22 and 11 rebounds for the host Knights (20-5). Ara Veney scored eight and had 12 assists for L.A. Baptist.

Providence 59, Cantwell 56--Brian Fay scored 20 points and had eight rebounds, and Bobby Chalermsopone added 15 points for the Pioneers (16-8) in a game at Providence.

DIVISION V-AA

Montclair Prep 97, Le Lycee 46--Anwawn Jones scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Mounties (22-3) buried Le Lycee with a 29-0 advantage in the second quarter of a game at Montclair Prep. Scott Stark added 14 points and 10 assists for the Mounties.

Holy Martyrs 50, Capistrano Valley 48--Arno Mariokian made two foul shots with one second remaining to the lift the Armens (11-11) in a game at Capistrano Valley.
