Despite being hobbled by an ankle injury, Kerr made sure the Sailors survived in the Southern Section Division III playoffs. Wednesday, he scored two goals in the second half of a 2-1 victory over Laguna Hills in a wild-card game. Friday, he scored two goals, both on penalty kicks, in a 2-1 victory over second-seeded Santiago. He drew the foul before his second goal, with three minutes left in overtime. Kerr is playing in the playoffs for the first time. “It was definitely one of my most exciting weeks,” said Kerr, who has 25 goals.
