Ocean View Reaches Finals With Triple-Overtime Win

Becky Fraser scored 18 points for Ocean View, which defeated Laguna Hills in three overtimes, 63-59, at Trabuco Hills High on Saturday night and advanced to the Division II-A finals.

At El Dorado High, top-seeded Brea Olinda was a 54-53 winner over Perris in the other II-A semifinal game.

Brea Olinda (26-3) reached the finals for the eighth consecutive season.

Peninsula 41, Millikan 40--Eden Palacio made two free throws with 18 seconds to play to put the top-seeded Panthers (28-1) ahead for good in a I-AA quarterfinal game.

Palmdale 62, Fountain Valley 51--Kristi Rose had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead Palmdale (27-2) in a I-AA quarterfinal game.

Mater Dei 60, Edison 43--Ronnie Gondringer scored 22 points for top-seeded Mater Dei (25-2), which used a 16-0 fourth-quarter run to blow open its I-A semifinal game and win for the 23rd time in a row.

Woodbridge 70, Gahr 63--Erin Stovall scored 28 points to lead Woodbridge to a II-AA semifinal victory.

Bishop Montgomery 68, Moorpark 38--Tiffany Washington had 19 points and 13 rebounds and Cashara Carter added 18 points for Bishop Montgomery, which beat top-seeded Moorpark to advance to the III-AA finals.

Muir 86, Bonita 69--Tian Sanders scored 20 points for second-seeded Muir (25-4), which advanced to the III-AA finals.

Morningside 53, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 50--Antoinette Thompson scored 16 points to lead top-seeded Morningside to a III-A semifinal victory.

Santa Ynez 78, Fillmore 59--Kristi Rohr scored 28 points and top-seeded Santa Ynez ran its unbeaten streak to 28 games with a semifinal victory.

Cerritos Valley Christian 69, Mojave 51--Top-seeded Cerritos (27-0) got 19 points from Kiyoko Miller in a IV-A semifinal victory.
