Corona Centennial administrators will wait to make a decision on the future of Bobby Holley until the suspended coach appears before the school board Tuesday. Holley was ejected in the first inning of a game against Norco on March 28 after arguing with umpire Charlie Lewis. The game was then declared a forfeit after Holley did not leave the dugout within the one minute allowed by Southern Section rules. Holley was suspended and assistant Steve Xanthakis took over as coach. “It is a personnel matter, and that needs to be reviewed by the board,” Athletic Director Dennis Pratt said. “There will be no decision until then.”. . . . The Dole National Classic, which began Monday in Orange County, appeared to lose some of its luster when the nation’s top-ranked team, Key West (Fla.), lost last week. Luckily for organizers, Key West lost to then third-ranked Miami Westminster Christian, which took over the top spot in the latest poll. Westminster, also in the Dole tournament, has defeated Tustin and Alta (Utah) and played Granada Hills Kennedy in the semifinals Wednesday night. Key West lost to Placentia El Dorado in the opening round. Santa Ana Mater Dei and St. Francis of Mountain View played in the other semifinal. The finals will be held at Cal State Fullerton tonight at 7. . . . Cory Williams of Bellflower St. John Bosco was selected the most valuable player of the Boca Raton (Fla.) tournament last week. In four games, Williams, a senior shortstop, was nine for 13 with 11 runs batted in for the Braves, who defeated North Miami, 6-4, in the final.
