Riverside Arlington lost for the third time this season Tuesday, dropping a 16-15 decision to Ivy League foe Riverside Ramona. It was the third loss in the last three weeks for the Lions (20-3), who started the year as The Times’ No. 1 team. Arlington dropped from No. 6 to No. 8 in the latest state rankings by Cal-Hi sports. . . . Dorsey’s junior varsity team forfeited the rest of its games this season after school administrators learned that several players were not listed on the eligibility roster, according to Barbara Fiege, City Section commissioner. Dorsey, which was put on probation earlier this year for various rules violations at the varsity level, said the school voluntarily ended the season when the violations were found. . . . Cypress (18-3) made its debut at No. 19 in the state rankings this week. The school has completed a remarkable turnaround from a 1-14 record in the Empire League two years ago. The Centurions have won 14 consecutive games under Coach Mark Steinert. Bobby Brito has 10 home runs and 26 over his four-year career. . . . Granada Hills Kennedy clinched the North Valley League title last Thursday by defeating Reseda Cleveland, 14-1. Cleveland Coach Steve Landress was ejected in the fifth inning for arguing a dead-ball call. Kennedy was leading, 9-0, at the time. . . . Loyola junior Scott Walter had five RBIs in 23-1 victory over Alemany last Friday and scored the winning run in a 6-5 victory over Encino Crespi on Tuesday.
