TONIGHT’S MATCHES

DIVISION I

Santa Margarita (17-2) at Manhattan Beach Mira Costa (19-0), 7 p.m.

Santa Margarita breezed past San Clemente in three games in the second round, but the Eagles will have to raise their level of play to compete against top-seeded Mira Costa. The Mustangs are led by 6-foot-10 standout Adam Naeve and three other All-Southern Section selections: 6-3 John Timmer, 6-6 Kevin Collins and setter Nick Schneider. The Eagles, ranked fourth in Orange County, are a balanced and experienced team--they returned all but one player from last season.

Other matches:

Esperanza (16-2) at North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake (19-1), 7 p.m.

Simi Valley Royal (17-1) at Huntington Beach (17-1), 7 p.m.

Santa Barbara San Marcos (17-1) at Capistrano Valley (17-1), 7 p.m.

DIVISION II

Tustin (11-4) at Calvary Chapel (14-2), 7 p.m.

This is a rematch of last season’s Division II final, which Tustin won in four games. Tustin has struggled slightly this season after losing all six starters from last season. Likewise, Calvary Chapel was decimated by graduation after last season--only two starters returned. But the Eagles, ranked third in Division II, coped well with a new lineup. Their only two losses this season were to Division-I teams, Marina and Esperanza, early in the season. In a nonleague match May 1, Calvary Chapel defeated Tustin, 15-12, 15-11, 15-3.

Other matches:

Foothill (13-1) at Lakewood (14-1), 7 p.m.

DIVISION III

North Hollywood Campbell Hall (14-1) at Capistrano Valley Christian (17-1), 7 p.m.

Capistrano Valley Christian’s only loss this season was to a Division-I team, Aliso Niguel. The Eagles, ranked seventh in Division III, won their first two playoff matches in three games each, but second-seeded Campbell Hall should present more difficulty. The Vikings are led by Dylan Herrick, who had a career-high 33 kills in a five-game victory over Carpinteria in the second round.
