Thousand Oaks High is favored to win its fourth boys’ cross-country title in the last five years in today’s Ventura County championships at Lake Casitas in Ojai.

The Nordhoff girls, defending State Division III champions, are expected to win their second consecutive title in the meet.

The first race is at 1:30 p.m. The varsity girls’ race starts at 4 with the boys’ at 4:30.

Other high school events in the region today include:

Girls’ tennis: At 2 p.m., Harvard-Westlake vs. Westlake at North Ranch Country Club. At 3:15 p.m., Hoover at Crescenta Valley.

Girls’ volleyball: At 3:15 p.m., Crescenta Valley at Hoover.

Water polo: At 3:15 p.m., Agoura at Newbury Park, Westlake at Thousand Oaks, Calabasas at Milken.

College events in the region include:

Men’s soccer: At 3 p.m., Moorpark at Glendale, Oxnard vs. Mission.

Women’s soccer: At 3 p.m., Moorpark at Glendale. At 4 p.m., Utah at Cal State Northridge.

Women’s volleyball: At 7 p.m., Cuesta at Moorpark.

Men’s water polo: At 2 p.m., Western State Conference tournament at Ventura. At 3 p.m., Stanford at Pepperdine.
