Defending Channel League tennis champion Zuzana Stunova of Rio Mesa High meets teammate Veronica Reynosa in the league singles final today at 3 p.m. at the Pierpont Racquet Club in Ventura.

Never in the 31-year history of the school have two Rio Mesa players met in the league singles final. Both players have qualified for the Southern Section tournament, which begins Nov. 23.

At 10:30 a.m., Marmonte League doubles and singles finals at North Ranch Country Club. At 11 a.m., Mission League doubles finals at Cal State Northridge. At 1 p.m., Westchester vs. Verdugo Hills at the Racquet Centre in Studio City.

Also today, The Master’s College men’s basketball team opens its season with a nonconference game at Westmont College at 7:30 p.m.

UC Santa Barbara visits Pepperdine in water polo at 3 p.m.
