In another Division IV semifinal:

Cabrillo 15, Agoura 8--The top-seeded Conquistadores (25-2) scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter at Cuesta College to break open a game that was tied, 4-4, at halftime.

Noah Bookman scored three goals for the Chargers (20-8) and Noah Cirincione added two.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Southern Section Individual Tournament--Defending champion Zuzana Stunova of Rio Mesa advanced with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Teresa Galido of Chaminade in their bracket final at Agoura High.

Helena Horak of Westlake advanced to the round of 16 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Khushchehr Italia of Buckley.

In doubles, twins Erin and Katy Smith of Westlake will return to the round of 16 after defeating Beth Owens and Erica Altman of Cate, 6-4, 6-2.

Debra Pepkowitz and Shervin Saedinia of Calabasas advanced with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Karen Keller and Jackie Wong of San Luis Obispo. Shera Weigler and Kirsten Gross of Calabasas won the tournament last year.

At the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Long Beach, Jieun Jacobs of Hart advanced in singles with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Apryl Hernandez of Cerritos, 6-4, 6-4.

Also in Long Beach, the doubles team of Shaland Romero and Christina Irinco of Burroughs defeated Eleanor Luzano and Cheryl Hamilton of Rosary 6-1, 7-6 (10-8) to advance for the second consecutive year.

The round of 16 will be held at Irvine Racquet Club on Dec. 5-6.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Cal Lutheran 54, UC Santa Cruz 44--Andy Saint had nine points and nine rebounds and guard Christian Dunbar added eight points, 10 rebounds and five assists for the Kingsmen (2-0) in the championship game of the Menlo College tournament.

Chris Whitfield also had eight points for Cal Lutheran, which led, 46-28, with 5:57 left in the game.

Urbana (Ohio) 91, The Master’s 88--Mike Penberthy had 32 points and seven assists, but the Mustangs (3-1) dropped the championship game of the Urbana tournament.

Penberthy, an NAIA Division I All-American, made seven of 12 three-points shots.

Leo Gorauskas scored 17 points and made all eight of his shots for the Mustangs.

Valley 86, Victor Valley 83--Tyreese Basey made a three-point basket with two seconds to play to lift the Monarchs (4-1) at Victor Valley.

Oke Ogoke scored 24 points for the Monarchs. Leon Brisbort added 12 points and Gianandrea Marcaccini had 10.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Canyons 101, Long Beach City 80--Kyetra Brown had 21 points and 15 assists for the Cougars in the championship game of the Long Beach City tournament.

Brown added eight steals for Canyon (4-0). Nikki Turner had 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Sequoias 64, Antelope Valley 55--Stacey Hartwell had 21 points and 10 rebounds but the Marauders lost the third-place game of the Merced tournament.

Cheakana Mayo added 17 points for Antelope Valley (2-3).

Cal Lutheran 76, Cal Poly Pomona 67--Brandie Murrish scored 29 points as the Regals (2-0) upset the Broncos in overtime to win the Cal Poly Pomona tournament.

Murrish made 10 of 19 shots and had 13 rebounds for Cal Lutheran (2-0). Evi Orologas added 20 points and 17 rebounds.

Ventura 88, Valley 75--Amirah Leonard scored 21 points, making four three-point baskets, and the Pirates (4-0) made 41 of 44 free throws at Ventura.

Tanya McLaughlin had 17 points for the Monarchs (2-2).
