Carlson to Coach Volleyball at Loara

Wendy Carlson has been named girls’ volleyball coach at Loara, Athletic Director John Selbe announced Thursday.

Carlson, a graduate of Katella High, was a lower-level coach for the Saxons the last two years. She replaces Steve Morton, who resigned to spend more time with his family.

Four Heritage Christian football players have been selected to the All-Southern Section Eight-Man Division first team. They are: senior defensive back Jason Burns, junior linebacker Paul Caffrey, senior defensive lineman Daniel Wilson and senior running back Jared Zielinski.

Honorable mention honors went to senior defensive lineman Ryan Mayes and senior running back Jon Stephen of Liberty Christian and senior linebacker Rosendo Bordeaux and senior offensive lineman Carl Lund of Heritage Christian.
