SEASON AT A GLANCE: A varsity pitcher since his freshman year, Graves, who has signed a letter of intent with Oklahoma, has become the premier strikeout pitcher in the region. The 5-foot-10 left-hander has struck out 110 batters in 64 innings. Against Foothill League competition, he’s even more dominating--striking out 85 in 43 2/3 innings, or 1.95 batters per inning. Graves is 6-2 with a 2.19 earned run average this season.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: In a 7-0 victory over Valencia on Friday, Graves finished with a two-hitter and 16 strikeouts for the second consecutive start. Earlier in the week, Graves struck out two batters in one relief inning in the Indians’ 9-3 victory over the Vikings. The previous Friday, Graves struck out 16 in a three-hit victory over Canyon.
