Ocean View Loses in Volleyball Final

Long Beach Millikan defeated Ocean View, 15-13, in a one-game final match to win the championship of the Fountain Valley Jammin Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.

Lindsey Lampert had 34 kills and Theresa Gunsaulus had 72 assists in the tournament for Long Beach Millikan (6-0).

Tracy Lindquist and Shelby Jameson were named to the all-tournament team for Ocean View.

Fountain Valley’s Melissa Plass had 63 assists and was named to the all-tournament team for the Barons (4-3), who lost to Ocean View, 15-13, in the semifinals.

In eight-man football:

Los Angeles Lutheran 18, Liberty Christian 6--C.J. Leeman completed a 14-yard touchdown pass to Alex Sanchez to give Liberty Christian an early 6-0 lead. But Chuck Crable would score three rushing touchdowns to put the game away for L.A. Lutheran (1-0).
