Heavy Rains Postpone Boys’ Soccer Games

Wet grounds caused by Monday’s heavy rains forced postponement of five Southern Section boys’ soccer playoff games that had been scheduled Tuesday. They were rescheduled for today.

Saddleback hosts Long Beach Millikan at 3 p.m. and El Toro hosts Palos Verdes Peninsula at 5 p.m. in today’s Division I second-round games.

In Division III, Santa Margarita hosts Compton Dominguez at 3 p.m. at Rancho Capistrano Park. In Division IV, Laguna Beach hosts Rancho Alamitos, and in Division V, St. Margaret’s plays at Ventura St. Bonaventure. Both games begin at 3.

Tuesday’s community college baseball game between Golden West and Cypress also has been postponed because of wet grounds to 2 p.m. today at Cypress.

At the college level, the Chapman at La Verne and Concordia at Southern California College Tuesday baseball games were postponed to 2:30 p.m. today, and the Cal State Dominguez Hills at SCC softball game was postponed to 1 p.m. today.
