GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Second-ranked San Clemente moved into the national spotlight for the first time this week. The Tritons were ranked ninth in the Western Region by USA Today. Fresh from a three-point loss to Harbor City Narbonne (ranked ninth nationally and No. 1 in the state), San Clemente hosts Marina at 6 p.m. Saturday. The Vikings, who got 35 assists from Natalie Nakase over the last three games, are ranked sixth in Orange County.

The Savanna Lady Rebel tournament championship is played today and the Santiago tournament continues through Saturday.
