La Habra Volleyball Coach Steps Down
La Habra girls’ volleyball Coach Dave Sorrells said Friday he has resigned for personal reasons.
In his only season at La Habra, he led the Highlanders to the Freeway League title and the Southern Section Division III-A championship match. La Habra’s last appearance in a section final was in 1991, when the Highlanders won the Division 3-A title.
“We had a great season and I got to coach a great bunch of kids,” Sorrells said. “I wish nothing but continued success to everyone there.”
