In the first meeting between the Sea View League’s top teams, No. 9 El Toro plays at No. 7 Santa Margarita today. El Toro, which finished second in league last season, was upset, 3-0, by Woodbridge Tuesday. The Chargers are led by junior forward Lauren Orlandos, a first-team all-league selection the past two years. Santa Margarita, the defending league champion, has one of the top goalkeepers in the county in senior Erin Regan, who recorded 12 saves in her first two league games.

In the Orange League, Valencia, ranked ninth in Southern Section Division III, hosts defending champion Brea Olinda, No. 9 in Division II, in what should be an offensive battle. Brea recorded an 8-0 victory in its first league match and Valencia came away a 12-0 winner. Valencia is led by junior forward Alejandra Nunez, who had three goals in the victory and senior midfielder Beth Leverett, last season’s league MVP.

In the Garden Grove League Friday, undefeated Garden Grove, which has its best team in years, travels to Pacifica, the league’s top team.
