Modesto Shuts Down Lancaster, 3-1

Jason Regan had three hits and a run batted in for Lancaster (34-68, 11-19) in a 3-1 loss to Modesto in a California League game Saturday night at John Thurman Field.

Regan doubled in the fourth to drive in Greg Connors.

Brian Luderer, a graduate of Crespi High, had two hits for Modesto (63-37, 19-11 in second half) and Denny Wagner (7-4) pitched seven innings, allowing six hits and no earned runs. He struck out four and walked one.
