Oxnard administrators approached Reardon to replace Wes Morimume, who resigned.

A search committee has been formed at Crespi to find a replacement for Tim Lins, who resigned as coach to take a similar position at Moorpark High.

Among the possible candidates are Troy Thomas, former Crespi defensive coordinator who was recently hired as defensive coordinator at Westlake, and Lance Fauria, who played for the Celts and is offensive coordinator at Chaminade.

Also interested in the position is Kevin Pearson, coach at Cathedral whose quarterback, Robert De La Cruz, set a state record with 61 touchdown passes last season.

Tim Warfield, a junior linebacker from San Diego Vista High whose father Mike was a football player and wrestler at Thousand Oaks High, has committed to UCLA.

TENNIS

Marissa Irvin of Stanford, who played at Harvard-Westlake High, was chosen Intercollegiate Tennis Assn. national women’s player of the month for February.
