La Mirada, ranked No. 1 in Division VI from Day 1, has played like it too. Leading rusher Brandon Williams is averaging 7.1 yards per carry. Robert Price, who has caught 56 passes, is averaging 25.1 yards per catch. And quarterback Erik Meyer, who has 37 touchdowns and only three interceptions, is averaging 19.9 yards per completion. The fourth-seeded Sailors, the defending champions, need to wear down La Mirada. A big effort from the offensive line, allowing Chris Manderino to grind up the clock, could go a long way toward victory.
