Edison 13, Katella 8--Ashley Bookspan scored three goals, made two saves and had two assists for Edison (5-6).

In Garden Grove League boys’ basketball:

Bolsa Grande 85, La Quinta 64--Swingman Will Montgomery scored 34 points for Bolsa Grande, including 25 in the first half. Montgomery also had 14 rebounds.

Los Amigos 69, Santiago 61--Peter Vu scored a game-high 27 points for Los Amigos (7-10, 3-0), which made 19 of 29 free throws. Spike Soriano scored 25 for Santiago (1-15, 0-3).

In the Tarbut V’Torah boys’ basketball tournament:

Tarbut V’Torah 71, Saddleback Valley Christian 31--Noam Dashti had 17 points and 16 rebounds and Tanner Bral had 18 and 10 rebounds for Tarbut V’Torah (10-1).

The Lions also got 10 assists from guard David Echbali and 10 rebounds from center Abel Matan.

In Garden Grove League girls’ basketball:

Bolsa Grande 48, La Quinta 19--Guard Michelle Day scored 12 points for Bolsa Grande, which outscored host La Quinta, 31-5, in the second half.

Santiago 76, Los Amigos 65--Point guard Stephanie Reupena hit seven three-pointers and finished with 36 points for Santiago (10-7, 2-1). Reupena, who also had 10 assists, scored 22 of her points in the first half as the Cavaliers took a 45-29 lead.

Monica Curiel scored 18 points for host Los Amigos (1-2 in league).

In Garden Grove League boys’ soccer:

Garden Grove 3, Rancho Alamitos 2--Oscar Beltran’s penalty kick with less than eight minutes remaining gave Garden Grove the victory.

In Garden Grove League girls’ soccer:

La Quinta 5, Bolsa Grande 0-Sophomore Amanda Carroll scored twice for La Quinta (2-1 in league).
