In another Sea View League meet:

Woodbridge 50, Aliso Niguel 27--Woodbridge’s Robert Valenzuela, ranked fifth at 121 pounds, won at 127, 21-5, over Eric McCarger. Chris Wagner (105), Billy Nadal (114), Kevin Martinez (142), Darrin Offringa (147), Chris Imkamp (154) and Chris Russell (217) won with pins for Woodbridge.

In Garden Grove League girls’ basketball:

Pacifica 65, Bolsa Grande 34--Diana Barreras had 13 points, eight steals and six assists to lead host Pacifica (14-7, 8-0). Lindsay Skeber had 17 points and Dominic Valencia had 12 points for the Mariners.

Debbie Baeder led Bolsa Grande (3-17, 1-7) with 19 points.

Santiago 56, La Quinta 23--Kelly Chavez had 18 points and eight steals and Oe Sualua and Jasmine Buenrostro each had 10 rebounds for visiting Santiago (14-8, 6-2).

In Empire League girls’ water polo:

El Dorado 8, Cypress 0--Courtney Lee had nine saves to record her third shutout for El Dorado (10-7, 2-0), the second-ranked team in Southern Section Division II. Cypress is ninth-ranked.

In the Sea View League:

No. 6 Newport Harbor 15, Woodbridge 2--Jenna Murphy had six goals and three assists for host Newport Harbor (15-4, 2-1).
