Cheers & Tears

It was an emotional weekend for Orange County teams in the Southern Section basketball and soccer championships. Seven county teams came away with titles, including basketball powerhouse Mater Dei, which won the Division I-A boys’ championship. Laguna Hills won the girls’ II-A basketball title. In soccer, Santa Margarita, Capistrano Valley, Estancia, Mater Dei and Edison took home titles.
