Vanguard’s run in the NAIA men’s tennis championships ended with a 6-3 semifinal loss to second-seeded Auburn-Montgomery at Lexington, Ky.
The highlight for fifth-seeded Vanguard (22-4) was an 8-6 victory by its No. 1 doubles team of Stefan Johansson and Olli Helminen over Auburn’s Gonzalo Rio and Nick Sabbatini.
