The game started well for Aliso Niguel (3-6, 1-2) when Mike Mudge took the opening kickoff 99 yards, driving up the middle then cutting down the right sideline. From then on it was all Woodbridge.

On Aliso Niguel’s first series, quarterback Joel Smith was hit and fumbled. Warrior defensive tackle Favie Lochananorida recovered at the Wolverine 10 and raced in for the score with 8:57 left in the first quarter to tie the score, 7-7.

The Wolverines’ play on offense also resulted in a fumble, and Warrior defensive end Grant Hustedt recovered at the Aliso Niguel 27. Three plays later, Farhood Rabii scored from seven yards out to make the score 14-7.

The Warriors put the game out of reach midway through the second quarter when Will Banks scored on a five-yard run. Woodbridge dominated the second half, scoring on a 56-yard pass from Tim Kege to Jimmy Pearson, a four-yard run by Rabii and an 11-yard burst by John Story.
