Mater Dei 3, Riverside Poly 0--Junior setter Jenny Senske had 42 assists and seven aces for the visiting Monarchs (19-2), who won, 16-14, 15-2, 17-15.

Irvine 3, Ventura Buena 0--Setter Courtney DeMott had 37 assists for fourth-seeded Irvine (16-1), which won, 15-6, 15-9, 15-4. Irvine will play top-seeded Manhattan Beach Mira Costa in the semifinals.

In Division II-AA:

Laguna Hills 3, Lake Arrowhead Rim of the World 0--Kristin Brooks had 15 kills for the Hawks (14-10), who won, 15-7, 15-12, 15-13, and will play second-seeded Santa Barbara.

La Canada 3, Rosary 2--Marla Smith had 18 kills for Rosary (14-13), which lost, 15-10, 15-5, 4-15, 5-15, 15-8.

In Division IV-A:

Whittier Christian 3, Marlborough 1--Joelle Sagehorn had 16 kills for Whittier Christian (17-8), which beat the fourth-seeded team, 15-13, 15-12, 9-15, 15-8.

Laguna Beach 3, L.A. Notre Dame Academy 2--Sarah Salem had 26 kills and 14 blocks for Laguna Beach (15-5), which defeated the defending Division IV state champion, 12-15, 15-12, 7-15, 15-5, 15-1. The Artists advanced to play third-seeded Thousand Oaks La Reina.

In Division V-A:

Liberty Christian 3, Maricopa 2--Jessica Cure had 21 kills for Liberty Christian (18-2), which won, 15-8, 6-15, 12-15, 15-5, 15-13, and will play top-seeded Hemet Baptist Christian.
