Cypress’ Gulyanamitta Wins State Golf Title

Cypress College golfer Russamee Gulyanamitta earned another accolade Tuesday by winning the individual title at the California State Community College Championships.
Gulyanamitta won the title by shooting a two-day 151 at par-72 Monterey Country Club in Palm Springs. Fullerton’s Hye-Yoon Jung was second with a two-round total of 152. Mt. San Antonio (658) won the team title, with College of the Canyons (689) placing second.
In the first round of the Southern California men’s soccer regionals:
Orange Coast 2, L.A. Harbor 1--Participating in their first postseason game in five years, the Pirates (16-3-4) took a 2-0 halftime lead and held on for the victory.
In the first round of the Southern California women’s soccer regionals:
Pasadena 1, Santa Ana 0--Rebecca Hidalgo scored unassisted at the 70-minute mark for Pasadena (15-5-1). Goalkeeper Kristin Barbour made 10 saves for the Dons (14-5-5.)
