County Finalists Play Saturday
Five Orange County teams will play in Southern Section girls’ volleyball finals Saturday at Cypress College.
In the Division I-AA match, second-seeded San Clemente will play top-seeded Long Beach Poly at 7:30 p.m. The teams met in the final of the Dave Mohs Memorial tournament this season with Poly winning the title. Poly is ranked No. 1 in the state; San Clemente is No. 2.
In Division I-A, top-seeded Manhattan Beach Mira Costa will play second-seeded Mater Dei at 4:30 p.m. In Division II-A, top-seeded Lakewood St. Joseph will play second-seeded La Habra at 1 p.m.
In Division IV-A, Whittier Christian will play Sierra Madre Maranatha at 6:30 p.m. and in Division V-AA, defending champion and top-seeded St. Margaret’s will play second-seeded Pasadena Poly at 10:30 a.m.
Tickets are $6 general admission and $3 for children.
