Cal Lutheran 2, Pomona-Pitzer 1--Valentino Diaz scored in the third minute from 20 yards and Oskar Kantoft made a penalty kick in the 12th minute for the Kingsmen in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game at Cal Lutheran (5-2, 2-0).
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Northern Arizona 2, Cal State Northridge 1--Melissa Cleal scored unassisted on a breakaway in the 84th minute for the Matadors in a Big Sky Conference match at Northern Arizona.
Jenny Willemse had four saves for Northridge (1-4-2, 0-1 in conference play), which managed 15 shots on goal.
Holly Jones and Raegin Eyre scored nine minutes apart for the Lumberjacks (3-7, 2-0) early in the second half.
BOYS’ WATER POLO
Thousand Oaks 9, Oxnard 8--Eric Markle scored his fourth goal of the game with 1:06 remaining to lift the Lancers to a nonleague victory at Oxnard.
Markle has scored 30 goals in seven games for the Lancers (4-3).
Grayson Yoder and Garrett Ball each scored three goals for Oxnard.
BOYS’ CROSS COUNTRY
Pacific View League Meet No. 1--Brandon Lucero won at Mission Oaks Park in 15:57 to lead Camarillo (4-0) to victory with 24 points.
Phillip Reid of second-place Rio Mesa (3-1) was second in 16:09.
Channel League Meet No. 1--Brian Kostok of San Marcos finished first in 16:41 and Matt Gahr of Ventura was second in 16:48, but Buena won at Dos Pueblos without a runner in the top five.
Noel Silva of Ventura was fourth in 17:14.
GIRLS’ CROSS COUNTRY
Pacific View League Meet No. 1--Michelle Meyer finished first in 20:55 to lead Camarillo (4-0) to victory with 27 points at Mission Oaks Park in Camarillo.
Marianne Gerry was second in 21:15 for Camarillo. Rio Mesa was second with 41 points.
Channel League Meet No. 1--Marie Biggs (20:05), Oriana Campbell (20:13) and Melissa Howery (20:21) swept the top three places to help Ventura win at Dos Pueblos with 20 points. Buena was second at 66.
GIRLS’ TENNIS
Camarillo 12, Buena 6--Lauren Gaona and Michelle Alvarez swept in singles for the Scorpions (4-0) in a nonleague match at Buena.
Taylor Lehman and Nicole Wigton swept at No. 1 doubles for the Bulldogs.
Calabasas 14, Oak Park 4--Erin Everly lost only one game at No. 1 singles for Calabasas in a nonleague match at Oak Park.
