Granada Hills 2, Birmingham 0--Eddie Degerman struck out 13, walked none and pitched a two-hitter for the Highlanders (13-7, 4-3) in a West Valley League victory at Birmingham.

Patrick Roark struck out nine, walked none and allowed six hits for Birmingham (15-7, 4-3) but allowed run-scoring singles to Scott Rapkin and Chris Zakosek.

Westlake 1, Antioch 0--Tyler Adamczyk (3-0) struck out five and allowed three hits in 6 1/3 innings, and hit his sixth home run for Westlake (13-3-1) in a first-round game of the Archbishop Mitty tournament.

Moorpark 7, Royal 2--Chris Nealon had three hits and Aaron Garcia hit a solo home run and an RBI single for the Musketeers (12-5), who defeated their Marmonte League rivals in a Corona del Mar tournament semifinal.

Moorparkplays its first tournament final since 1994 when it faces Charter Oak or Pacifica tonight at 7.

Valencia 3, Saugus 2--Kyle Wilson (4-3) pitched a five-hitter, struck out eight and walked two for the Vikings in the Foothill League victory at Valencia.

Richie Martin led off the first with a home run for Valencia (11-8, 4-4).

St. Francis 13, Notre Dame 8--Jack Pinkerton had three hits, including two doubles, for the Golden Knights (7-8) in a St. Paul tournament consolation victory.

Brett Hayes hit three doubles and a single for Notre Dame (7-9-1).

Hueneme 8, Rio Mesa 5--Sabino Pitones’ run-scoring single in the ninth snapped a 5-5 tie, and Chris Camacho followed with a two-run double in a Pacific League victory at Rio Mesa.

Pitones had three hits, including a home run and double, and drove in four runs, and Martinez had three hits, including a home run, and scored three runs.

Ventura 6, San Marcos 0--Brian Minkel pitched three-hitter with eight strikeouts for the Cougars (10-8, 4-3) in a Channel League game at San Marcos (2-11, 1-6).

Jake Renshaw had three hits, including a three-run home run.

Calabasas 8, Santa Clara 0--Junior Brad Schultz (5-1) improved to 10-1 in his career with a two-hitter and seven strikeouts in a Frontier League victory at Santa Clara.

John Henry Jacobs had three hits and two RBIs for Calabasas (13-5, 6-0).

Hoover 6, Pasadena 0--Sergio Garcia hit two home runs and drove in four runs for the Tornadoes (6-10, 3-5) in the Pacific League game at Pasadena.

L.A. Baptist 10, Mission Prep 1--The Knights collected eight extra-base hits while advancing to the championship game of the Templeton tournament.

L.A. Baptist (15-4) plays either Chaminade or Templeton for the title tonight at 7.

Campbell Hall 16, Whitney 4--Matt Kaplan had two hits, including a home run, and four RBIs, and pitched a two-hitter for the Vikings (8-6-1, 3-0) in a Delphic League victory at Campbell Hall.

Viewpoint 3, Buckley 2--Matt Wolf (4-1) hit Nick Fries with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth inning to force home the winning run and ruin the Griffins’ hopes for an undefeated season in a Liberty League game at Calabasas High at Viewpoint.

Fries (3-1) pitched a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts for the Patriots (7-4, 5-1).

Colin Ward-Henninger pitched seven innings for the Griffins (9-1, 5-1), allowing two runs on six hits with six strikeouts and two walks.
