DIVISION X: Santa Monica (10-2) at North Torrance (12-1), 7:30--Santa Monica, which beat North Torrance, 23-20, in an Ocean League game Oct. 12, has not been in a Southern Section final since losing in 1982. North Torrance lost the 1983 Costal Conference title game. Each team has built its offense around an athletic, multi-talented quarterback. Santa Monica’s James Cooper threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two in a 26-14 semifinal victory over Paso Robles. North Torrance’s Kenny Brown passed for 331 yards and six touchdowns in a 42-33 semifinal win over Inglewood.
