Agoura High routed Harvard-Westlake, 9-1, in a nonleague girls’ water polo game on Wednesday at Agoura.
Agoura (5-1), ranked No. 1 in Southern Section Division II, took a 3-1 first-quarter lead against the No. 2-ranked team in Division III.
Joanna Antonsen, Chelsey Hutchinson and Colleen Schiman each scored twice.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Chaminade 4, Alemany 0--Kim Taylor scored three goals for the Eagles (9-4-2) in a Mission League opener at Alemany.
Granada Hills 1, Van Nuys 0--Amanda Schlank scored for the Highlanders (9-3-1) in the Monroe tournament at Van Nuys.
Harvard-Westlake 4, Louisville 1--Jill Oakes had a goal and two assists for the Wolverines (7-4-1, 2-0) in a Mission League game at Louisville.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Hart 2, Saugus 1--Mike Caso scored two goals in a Foothill League opener at Hart (9-5-3).
Paraclete 3, Palmdale 2--Danny Diaz scored the game-winner for the Spirits (6-1-2) in a nonleague game at Palmdale.
Burbank 2, San Gabriel 1--Jeffrey Ruiz scored twice at Burbank (7-2-1).
Notre Dame 5, St. Francis 1--Jimmy Sharp and Nick Folk each had two goals and an assist for the Knights (6-5) in a Mission League opener at St. Francis.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Valley 79, West L.A. 58--DaMarcus Ellis scored 17 points for the Monarchs (12-8) in a Western State Conference South Division opener at Valley.
The Master’s 103, San Jose Christian 67--Tyler Hoffman scored 19 points for the Mustangs (10-7) in a victory at The Master’s.
