Washington (0-4) at Dallas (0-4)

6 p.m., Channel 7

The line: Dallas by 3.

Story line: How did one of the most storied rivalries in the NFL get this bad? The salary cap. Troy Aikman and Dana Stubblefield cost their teams a combined $17.83 million this season, and neither will be wearing a Cowboy or Redskin uniform tonight. In the history of “Monday Night Football,” never have teams with 0-4 records met.

Keys to the game: With both teams shaky at quarterback, look for the running games to take center stage. Stephen Davis has been the lone bright spot for the Redskins, averaging 4.2 yards while being limited to 13 carries a game because the offense is playing catch-up much of the game. Tony Banks and the departed Jeff George have been complete failures at implementing Coach Marty Schottenheimer’s West Coast scheme. Dallas backup Anthony Wright reads defenses better than injured starter Quincy Carter, but that doesn’t always lead to playmaking ability. The game will come down to turnovers, special teams and which quarterback makes the fewest mistakes.
