BIG WINNERS
* Whitney Lewis amassed 359 yards of offense in leading Ventura St. Bonaventure to a 40-14 triumph over Westlake Village Westlake in the Division IV championship. Lewis scored five touchdowns to go with his 192 yards rushing and 167 yards receiving.
* Justin Williams sacked Newhall Hart quarterback Sean Norton in the end zone for a safety to spark Mission Viejo’s 10-6 victory in the Division II championship. Williams finished with two sacks and four tackles for losses.
UPSETS
* Lake Balboa Birmingham defeated top-seeded and previously unbeaten Taft, 35-7, to win the City Section championship. Dennis Keyes rushed for 133 yards as the Patriots avenged a 30-6 defeat to the Toreadors earlier in the season.
* Lompoc defeated top-seeded Gardena Serra, 16-13, to win the Division X title. Andrew Jones bulled into the end zone on a one-yard quarterback sneak with 2 minutes 17 seconds left to give the Braves the go-ahead score.
