Councilman Offers Reward for Boy’s Killer
Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine announced a $25,000 reward Thursday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer of a 16-year-old boy shot to death while standing outside a school in January.
Michael Phillip Urquidi of Canoga Park was a student at the West Valley Leadership Academy Community Education Center, an alternative school on Sherman Way in Canoga Park, when he was fatally shot in the chest Jan. 8.
The unidentified assailants were riding in a pickup truck, authorities said. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police at (818) 756-8547.
