Woman Says She Was Abducted and Assaulted
A 51-year-old Ventura woman was kidnapped from her home early Thursday, sexually assaulted and then left in a parking lot near Universal Studios, police said.
Details are still sketchy, but the woman, whose name was withheld by police, told authorities that an unidentified man came to her condominium on Twin River Circle, demanded her wallet and then ordered her to get inside her Mercedes-Benz about 1 a.m.
More than an hour later, the woman flagged down a California Highway Patrol officer and reported the crimes. The woman’s car was later recovered, police said.
