Cyclist, 70, Badly Hurt Swerving Into Traffic
A 70-year-old Huntington Beach man was seriously injured Saturday morning after his bicycle swerved in front of a pickup truck and was struck, authorities said.
Robert Michael Boozan was thrown onto the hood of the pickup and smashed through its windshield in the 10:33 a.m. accident on Graham Street, just north of Warner Avenue, said Huntington Beach Police Lt. Bill Peterson.
Boozan was listed in critical condition at UC Irvine Medical Center but was expected to survive his injuries, Peterson said. The driver of the pickup, Amir Pasha Razaee, 23, was treated for a cut hand.
