Boy Hit by Police Car Suffers Minor Injuries

A 3-year-old Santa Paula boy suffered minor injuries when he darted into the path of a police cruiser on a residential street Friday afternoon, authorities said Saturday.
The boy, whose name was not released, was treated at Santa Paula Memorial Hospital and released.
The boy was standing in front of his home in the 200 block of South 8th Street when he ran into the street from behind a parked car, authorities said. The car knocked him to the ground.
The name of the officer in the cruiser also was not released.
