Crash Injures Passenger, Knocks Out Power

An allegedly drunken driver crashed into a power pole, injuring his passenger and knocking out power to more than a quarter of the city, police said.
The accident, which occurred about 12:50 a.m. Saturday, also closed portions of California 1 and Main Street in Morro Bay.
Scott Ranaldi, 44, of Utah, was charged with felony drunken driving because his passenger was injured, said arresting officer Cpl. Jason Zatt.
