GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

* Brittany Moore, Orange El Modena: Had eight of her 26 kills in the final game in a 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 17-25, 15-13 victory over Vista Murrieta in a Southern Section Division II-A second-round match. Moore also had seven blocks.

* Rachel Lumsden and Nikki Awaa, Brea Olinda: Lumsden had 36 kills and Awaa had 55 assists, three aces and two blocks in a 25-12, 19-25, 25-20, 15-25, 15-11 victory over West Covina South Hills in a Division II-A second-round match.

* Stephanie Flasch, Ojai Nordhoff: Finished with 19 kills, two blocks, 10 digs and two aces in a 25-15, 25-22, 26-24 victory over Costa Mesa in a Division III-A first-round match.

* Stephanie Darnall, Laguna Beach: Finished with 18 kills and 15 digs in a 25-22, 25-13, 25-22 victory over Santa Fe Springs St. Paul in a Division IV-AA first-round match.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

* Blake Hubbell and Nick Rollins, Malibu: Each scored five goals in a 20-12 victory over Arroyo Grande in a Division IV first-round game.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

* Amber Marsden, Alhambra Keppel: Swept her singles sets, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0, to help defeat Garden Grove Pacific on games, 77-75, in a Division III first-round match. The Keppel doubles team of Bohea Suh and Pim Laohavanich also swept, 7-6, 6-3, 6-0.

* Christine Abayan, Murrieta Valley: Won her sets, 6-0, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 1 singles to help beat South Pasadena on games, 87-77, in a Division II first-round match. Sara Harding and Brandi Friedman swept at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2, for Murrieta Valley.
