Man in Wheelchair Hit by Car Is Identified

A man in a wheelchair who was struck and killed while crossing a street near Cal State Fullerton was identified Thursday as Michael Gilmore, a resident of Fullerton, police said.
Gilmore, 25, who was in a crosswalk, was hit about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on Nutwood Avenue near Titan Drive, police said. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he died.
The driver of the car, Amanda Hoffman, 22, of Placentia, was cooperating with police and has not been cited.
