10,000 Ecstasy Pills Found; 2 Men Arrested
A routine traffic stop led to the discovery of an estimated $200,000 worth of the hallucinogen Ecstasy and the arrest of two men, police said Wednesday.
Richard Gi and Andrew Quan, both 20, were stopped after making an unsafe turn about 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brookhurst Street and Chapman Avenue, Garden Grove police said.
After getting permission to search the vehicle, officers found 10 plastic bags in boxes in the trunk, Lt. Mike Handfield said. Each bag contained about 1,000 Ecstasy pills, Handfield said. Each pill sells for as much as $20.
