Two people were killed and at least four were injured Friday evening when a minivan skidded off the Antelope Valley Freeway near Vista Point south of Palmdale and overturned, ejecting several of the seven occupants, the California Highway Patrol said.

The 25-year-old driver of the van was arrested on suspicion of felony drunken driving, officers said.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Two children were taken by helicopter to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and two adults were flown to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. The identities of the victims were not immediately available.
