Junior transfer Lyndsay Kinstler has made her presence felt since arriving at Laguna Beach after two years at Anaheim Connelly.

The undisputed No. 1 player at Connelly, Kinstler has shared the top spot in the Breakers’ lineup with senior Claire Rietsch. No matter who second-year Coach Greg Weiss has inserted at No. 1, however, the results have been the same for Laguna Beach (4-0).

“It’s a huge addition for us. She makes us a much bigger threat, no doubt,” Weiss said. “It definitely makes my job a little bit easier.”

The Breakers’ latest victory, a 14-4 victory over Santa Ana Mater Dei (2-2), came after Kinstler and Rietsch each won three sets in a nonleague match Wednesday at Laguna Beach. Kinstler won, 6-3, 6-0, 6-1, and Rietsch won, 6-1, 6-0, 6-1.

Sophomore Sarah Russell took two of her three sets and the No. 1 doubles team of seniors Katie Ochwat and Kellie Ammerman won three sets for the Breakers.
