Separate Possible Gang Attacks Leave 2 Injured

Police were investigating possible gang connections Saturday in separate shootings that left two men wounded.

A 24-year-old man was in critical condition Saturday after being shot in the abdomen in the 1100 block of North Curtis Court shortly before midnight Friday, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Lorenzo Glenn.

Officers found the man, whose name was not released, bleeding from a single wound, Glenn said. The victim was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he remained Saturday.

A 40-year-old Anaheim man suffered a single gunshot wound to the calf about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of West Romneya Drive, police said.

The man, who was not identified, was also at UCI Medical Center.
