The Times’ boys’ basketball All-Star team

Deonte Burton, Compton Centennial, 6-2, G, Sr.: Transfer from Long Beach Cabrillo helped Apaches reach Southern California Division III regional title game, averaging 21 points, six rebounds and five assists a game.

Allen Crabbe, Los Angeles Price, 6-6, G, Sr.: The grandson of school founder Rev. Frederick K.C. Price, Crabbe seemed destined to lead the Knights to their first state title since 2005. The California-bound standout averaged 23 points and 10 rebounds.

Dominique Dunning, Corona Centennial, 6-4, G, Jr.: Big VIII League most valuable player averaged 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block a game to lead one of the highest-scoring offenses in the Southland. He has committed to New Mexico.

Kyle Fuller, Moreno Valley Rancho Verde, 6-1, G, Sr.: Vanderbilt signee helped Mustangs overachieve after losing McDonald’s All-American Michael Snaer. He averaged 26 points and six assists as Rancho Verde went undefeated in the Inland Valley League and reached a Southern Section Division 1AA semifinal.

Bryce Jones, Woodland Hills Taft, 6-5, G, Sr.: USC-bound guard helped Toreadors reach the Los Angeles City Section title game by averaging 16.9 points and 7.5 rebounds. He stepped up with 29 points during City championship against Westchester.

Tyler Lamb, Santa Ana Mater Dei, 6-5, G, Sr.: UCLA-bound guard was equally adept at shooting three-pointers and slashing to the basket while leading Monarchs to the Southern California Division I regional title game. He averaged 18.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals a game.

Jordin Mayes, Westchester, 6-2, G, Sr.: A steadying force for two-time defending state Division I champion and also a dangerous perimeter threat, Mayes averaged 18.8 points and 2.3 assists a game. He has committed to Arizona.

Dwayne Polee Jr., Westchester, 6-7, G/F, Sr.: Complemented his otherworldly athleticism with solid fundamentals during a season in which he averaged 20.9 points and 9.8 rebounds a game.

Erik Swoope, North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, 6-5, F, Sr.: Miami signee shot 75% and averaged 21.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.8 steals, 1.5 blocks and 1.6 assists a game. He scored at least 30 points in eight games and averaged 35 during a pair of victories over archrival Loyola.

Byron Wesley, Etiwanda, 6-5, F, Jr.: The Eagles’ go-to guy when they needed big baskets, Wesley averaged 19 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one steal a game.
