Pour the brandy, Cointreau, lemon juice, simple syrup and cranberry juice into a pitcher and stir to combine. Serve over ice in old-fashioned glasses.

From Matt Duggan, bartender at Patina. Make a simple syrup by heating three-fourths cup water and three-fourths cup sugar together until the sugar dissolves.
