Ocean View falls to Godinez

Share

The Ocean View High softball team took on Godinez in a nonleague game Tuesday and errors early in the matchup cost the Seahawks who lost to the visiting Grizzlies, 9-4.

Coach Liberty McCollum said Jasmine Tapia and Cailey Coilado gave strong offensive performances for the Seahawks, the fifth-ranked team in CIF Southern Section Division 4 who are now 7-3 overall.

“Spring break couldn’t come at a better time,” McCollum said. “The girls need time off the field to rest and come back ready to start league.”
