Football: Lucas Alfonso shows that Notre Dame is still the kicking school
Sherman Oaks Notre Dame is known for producing outstanding kickers, such as the NFL’s Kai Forbath and Nick Folk. Kicking coach Chris Sailer was an All-American with the Knights.
And senior Lucas Alfonso is making the alumni proud. On Saturday at Oceanside High, he booted field goals of 50 and 49 yards in the first half against Del Oro.
Notre Dame holds a 27-3 halftime lead. Daniel Khan has caught touchdown passes of 56 and 45 yards from Grant Kraemer. Kraemer also has a 13-yard TD run and has completed seven of 13 passes for 158 yards.
