With expectations soaring, UCLA Coach Jim Mora said at Thursday’s Pac-12 media day that he likes his team’s focus on the process, “the grind of going to work every day and being great,” rather than worrying about what others are saying and believing.
He praised quarterback Brett Hundley, said he doesn’t think there’s a better conference of quarterbacks and indicated that the Bruins’ defense must replace Anthony Barr’s and Cassius Marsh’s contributions in rushing the quarterback.
He said he looks forward to the heat of San Bernardino, where the Bruins will hold their preseason camp, but that the reason camp will be held there has more to do with the environment of being isolated and allowing players to build a bond.
