Football: Kicker Kevin Robledo sets state record for field goals

The state record for most field goals in a career now belongs to Kevin Robledo of Westlake.
He made three field goals on Friday night against Newbury Park, giving him 40 in his career and moving him past Jake Van Ginkel of Upland who set the record in 2010 with 39.
“He’s a great kid and deserving of everything,” Coach Jim Benkert said. “He’s been everything we wanted and more.”
